Landro Play Analyzer, Enterprise Edition


Landro is a new kind of device that has been sweeping the education and training world.  Landro is the world's first play analyzer.  Landro can access any of 100,000 digital video "plays" (short for playback segments) without rewinding or fast-forwarding. Landro lets you find and watch any video “playback segment” you have recorded in less than a second – no more clumsy fast forwarding and rewinding.  Now you can spend time analyzing performance instead of searching through videotapes and trying to log specifics.

Once you have marked the beginning and end of a significant video segment you have created what Landro calls a “play” This is a specific segment of video that will instanly playback when you press the play button on the remote control.  Once these plays are marked, you can catalog and code them by any number of categories.  For example, a category could be any particular technique or behavior you want to study and analyze!  Now you could say, let me see all “part word stutters,” or a certain aggressive behavior that occurred during the recording of the session… Or how about let’s see all of my video for the last 5 session for a certain clinician.  Now you can see how the student counselor progressed from one week to another.


In about 10 seconds you can catalog and classify techniques or behaviors in each video play segment. Once classified, you and your students can quickly and easily move from example to example!  Hundreds of play can be searched in less than a second!  You can save any search you have done in the past… once save they become what we call Themes.


The Landro can be used with any teaching situation.  Plays (play segments) can be cataloged according to any number of categories.  For example, educators working with pre-service teachers might be interested in identifying every instance when the student teacher asked a question.  Or supervisors of pre-service speech-language pathologists might want to identify every time a client with a fluency disorder exhibited a prolongation, part-word repetition, or whole-repetition.
