Landro Hook-Up

Connect your Landro to your TV

In order to use your Landro you need to connect the outputs of the Landro to your TV, monitor or projector... whatever you use now to watch game video will probably work.

If your TV has an S-Video connector (preferred), use an S-Video cable (available at any electronics store) to connect the output connector on the rear of the Landro to the input of your TV. Then, to monitor the audio from your game (if you choose to record it), use a Landro audio cable (included with your Landro) to connect the 1/8" stereo output connector on the rear of your Landro to the Left (white) and Right (red) audio inputs on your TV. If your TV only has one audio input (named Mono or Audio), just connect the Left (white) plug to that input. The connections look like this:

(If your TV doesn't have S-Video, then use an RCA video cable, included with your Landro, to connect the output connector on the rear of the Landro to the video input of your TV.)

Once your Landro is connected to your TV, you'll need to "tell" the TV where the Landro is connected to it by tuning to the appropriate channel. Either press the TV/Video button (if the TV has one), or channel down below channel 2 to an Aux channel (in some cases, could be Line In, L1, Aux, 99, etc.). The Landro screen should appear at this time. If you are unsure of which channel to tune to, consult your TV manual.

Connect your VCR or Camera to your Landro

To record a new game into your Landro, you need to connect your camera, camcorder or VCR to the inputs of your Landro.

If your VCR or camera has an S-Video connector (preferred), use an S-Video cable (available at any electronics store) to connect the output connector on the VCR to the input on the rear of your Landro. Then, to record the audio from your game (if you want to record that), use a Landro audio cable (included with your Landro) to connect the Left (white) and Right (red) audio outputs from your VCR to the 1/8" stereo input connector on the rear of your Landro. If your VCR only has one audio output (named Mono or Audio), just connect the Left (white) plug to that output. The connections look like this:

(If your VCR doesn't have S-Video, then use an RCA video cable, included with your Landro, to connect the video output connector on the VCR to the input on the rear of the Landro.)

Connect your Landro to a DVD Recorder or VCR to make a copy

To copy games or highlights onto DVD or videotape from your Landro, you need to hook the outputs of your Landro to the inputs of a recording device (instead of to the TV), and then connect the outputs of the VCR or DVD recorder to the inputs of your TV.

First, connect the Landro to your VCR or DVD recoder. If your VCR has an S-Video input (preferred), use an S-Video cable to connect the output connector on the rear of the Landro to the input on the VCR. (If the VCR doesn't have S-Video, use an RCA video cable instead.) Your DVD recorder should definitely have an S-video input. Then, if you want to also record the audio from your Landro, use a Landro audio cable to connect the 1/8" stereo output connector on the rear of your Landro to the Left (white) and Right (red) audio inputs on the VCR or DVD recorder. If your VCR only has one audio input (named Mono or Audio), just connect the Left (white) plug to that input. The connections look like this:

Once your Landro is connected to your recording device, you'll need to "tell" the recording device where the Landro is connected to it by tuning to the appropriate channel. Either press the Line Input or Input button, or channel down below channel 2 to an Aux channel (in some cases, this could be Line In, L1, Aux, 99, etc.). The Landro screen should appear at this time. If you are unsure of which channel to tune to, consult the manual for your recording device.

Second, connect the VCR or DVD recorder to your TV. If your recording device and TV both have S-Video (preferred), use an S-Video cable to connect the output connector to the input connector on the TV. (If the recording device and TV don't both have S-Video, use an RCA video cable instead.) Then, if you want to monitor the audio in the recording, use RCA cables to connect the Left (white) and Right (red) audio outputs from your recording device to the matching inputs on your TV. If the VCR and TV don't both have Left and Right connections, just connect the Left (white) cable. The connections look like this:

Once your recording device is connected to your TV, you'll need to "tell" the TV where the recording device is connected to it by tuning to the appropriate channel. Either press the Line Input or Input button (if the TV has one), or channel down below channel 2 to an Aux channel (in some cases, this could be Line In, L1, Aux, 99, etc.). The Landro screen should appear on the TV at this time. If you are unsure of which channel to tune to, consult your TV manual.
