Landro Console

Landro Console is a utility window that can be used to monitor the recording status of your entire facility, as well as manage current and future recordings.

The Landro Console is started by clicking the Console icon in the Landro Play Analyzer application.

The Console window functionality is divided into sections. Select one of the tabs at the top of the Console window to display each section.

Recording Status

The Recording Status tab displays the recording status of all the encoders in your facility. Additionally, if you have the required privileges, you can preview, control cameras, and start and stop recordings.

Note: Not all tasks are available to all users. Camera control is only available if the workstation has a camera control license.

Recording Status

Icon Legend:

  • The encoder you are currently previewing.
  • Access to denied to this encoder. This happens when an encoder is currently recording, and either:
    • You no not have the required permissions, or folder access, to view the recording.
    • The recording is for a database that you are not currently logged in to.

To preview an encoder, simply double-click on that item. Right-clicking an item will display a popup menu. Depending upon your privilege, the following choices may appear:

  • Preview: Show encoder in the preview window.
  • Record: Start a recording. (See Recording).
  • Stop Recording: Stop the current recording.
  • Quick Record: Quickly start a recording without inputting any setup information. Recordings can be 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length.
  • Smart-Start: Create a Smart-Start event for the selected encoder.

Recording

A recording can be started in either of two ways:

  • Right-click the desired session room, then choose Record from the menu.
  • Preview a session room, then click the red record button below the preview window.

At this point, Landro prompts you to enter properties about the recording you wish to create. Enter all the properties that apply to this recording, and click the "Start" button to begin the recording.

Recording Properties

Smart-Start

Smart-Start gives you the ability to "queue" a recording for starting at a later time. These recordings can then be started manually, by a user (manual start), or automatically, by the Landro Central Server (auto-start). Click the Smart-Start tab to access Smart-Start.

  • This item will be started automatically by the server.

Display Options:

  • Filter By: Display items for any one user, or all users.
  • Column Sort: Click any column heading to sort by that column. Click the column again to reverse sort the same column (ascending / descending). Note that Date, Start-Time, and End-Time columns all perform the same sort by date and start time.

Actions:

  • Add: Add a new item (see Add/Edit).
  • Add Copy: Add a copy of the currently selected item.
  • Edit: Edit the currently selected item (see Add/Edit).
  • Delete: Delete the currently selected item.
  • Start Now: Start the currently selected item right now (overriding the start time for an auto-start item).

(Actions can be selected either by clicking a button on the bottom, or by right-clicking on an item and choosing from the pop-up menu.)

Smart-Start Add / Edit

When you are adding or editing Smart-Start items, Landro will display the Properties window. After completing all the property information, click the "Save" button to save your changes.
